Church of the Holy Mandylion

The Church of the Holy Mandylion is an Orthodox church building in Tobolsk with characteristic Siberian features. The structure has traditional onion domes, decorated walls, and a central complex that stands out clearly against the flat landscape.

Construction began in 1709 and marks the spread of Orthodox Christianity across Siberia during Russian expansion eastward. The building was later restored and returned to the parish in the 1990s.
