The Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos is a wooden Orthodox church in the remote village of Varzuga, in the Tersky District of the Murmansk region. The building rises in a series of stacked octagonal tiers, topped by a single onion dome, and stands on the bank of the Varzuga River.
The church was built in 1674, making it one of the oldest surviving wooden churches in northern Russia. It has been restored over the centuries but kept its original form, and today it is listed as a federal cultural heritage site.
