King Abdullah Financial District, Financial district in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

King Abdullah Financial District is a 1.6 million square metre complex of 95 buildings in Riyadh's Al-Aqeeq neighbourhood. Its tallest tower is a dark, faceted skyscraper with a pointed top, rising above flat-topped neighbours and lower blocks along a multi-lane road. A 9.6-mile network of climate-controlled skywalks links the buildings.

The district is named after King Abdullah and was previously managed by the Raidah Investment Company on behalf of the national pension authority; it is now held by the King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund. The master plan was overseen by Henning Larsen Architects, with towers by HOK, Omrania, SOM, Gensler and Foster + Partners, including the 380-metre PIF Tower. The KAFD metro station by Zaha Hadid Architects opened in late 2024.

The district reflects modern business culture in Saudi Arabia and draws professionals from around the world who work and network here. The architecture and public spaces encourage meetings and interactions among business people.

The KAFD metro station, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, opened in late 2024 and links Riyadh Metro Lines 1, 4 and 6, making it one of the network's four main interchanges. Inside the district, a 9.6-mile network of climate-controlled skywalks connects the buildings, the longest continuous skyway system in the world. An internal driverless monorail of about 3.5 km with six stations is under development, with public service planned for 2027.

KAFD holds LEED Platinum certification as the largest mixed-use district of its kind, and in 2025 it became the first financial district worldwide to earn Platinum under the ModeScore Communities standard for low-emission mobility and urban planning. A 9.6-mile network of climate-controlled skywalks links its buildings, the longest continuous skyway network in the world.
