Boo church

The stone church features a three-nave interior layout, a prominent tower, and a semi-circular apse with classical architectural elements on its exterior walls.

Swedish architect Martin Hedmark designed this church, which opened its doors to religious services in the summer of 1923 in Saltsjö-Boo district.

The building interior draws influence from Italian early Christian and Romanesque basilicas, combining northern European and Mediterranean architectural traditions.

Following extensive renovations from 2020 to 2023, the church received modern amenities including an elevator, updated electrical systems, and improved accessibility features.

The restoration project preserved the original 1923 color scheme while integrating new elements, such as assembly halls and staff facilities for contemporary needs.
