Chata pod Soliskom, Mountain hut in Furkotská dolina, Slovakia
Chata pod Soliskom is a mountain hut standing at 1830 meters (6000 feet) on the southern slope of Predné Solisko in the High Tatras. The white building includes a dining room, sleeping quarters, and a terrace overlooking the surrounding peaks.
The hut was constructed as the final mountain shelter in the High Tatras chain and underwent renovation in 2004 with an expansion of its outdoor terrace.
The shelter serves traditional Slovak mountain cuisine to hikers and provides basic overnight accommodations where visitors experience simple mountain hospitality.
A chairlift supplies the hut with water and provisions year-round due to its exposed high altitude location. Access is on foot via hiking trails that connect from several valley starting points.
A separate building called BIVAC with six rooms is positioned at the highest point of the slope near the main hut. This annex offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and serves as additional accommodation for guests.
