Kołowy Szczyt is a mountain peak in the High Tatras with an elevation of 2,418 meters (7,933 feet) and features steep rock faces along with several climbing routes. The terrain offers different approaches of varying difficulty through the alpine landscape.
The first documented successful climb took place in 1898, marking the start of mountaineering activities in this section of the High Tatras. Since then, the area has developed into a destination for experienced climbers.
Slovak mountaineers maintain several traditional climbing paths to the summit, following regulations established by the Tatra National Park authorities.
Access requires official permission from the TANAP national park authorities and technical climbing equipment. Summer months offer the most favorable conditions for attempting the ascent.
The north face holds a complex network of challenging rock formations that stretch vertically for hundreds of meters. These formations offer some of the most interesting climbing problems in this part of the mountains.
