Červený Kameň Castle

Červený Kameň Castle is a medieval fortress located near Částá village in the Little Carpathians. It features a courtyard, extensive cellar vaults beneath the building, and rooms decorated with painted ceilings throughout.

The fortress was built in the 13th century as a royal defense structure to protect the region. In the 16th century, the Fugger family carried out extensive renovations that transformed it into a residential palace.

The castle preserves the memory of the noble families who lived here and filled it with art and treasures. Today you can see how they arranged their living spaces, especially in the decorated rooms with painted ceilings.

The castle contains an underground network of cellars that was technically sophisticated for its time. These buried chambers allowed the residents to store food and valuables safely for extended periods.
