The castle stands in southwestern Slovakia near Častá village, featuring extensive cellars and richly decorated rooms with ceiling paintings throughout the structure.
Built in the 13th century as a royal defense fortress, the castle underwent major reconstruction by the Fugger family in the 16th century.
The museum inside the castle displays noble lifestyle exhibits, while the grounds host regular fencing festivals and falconry demonstrations.
The castle offers two types of guided tours from Tuesday to Sunday, with opening hours from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM in winter months.
The castle contains underground storage areas that rank among the largest and most advanced preservation systems of Renaissance Europe.
