Geldek, Mountain summit in Pezinok District, Slovakia.
Geldek is a peak in the Small Carpathians range near the Pezinok District. The summit provides views across forested slopes and valleys in western Slovakia.
The region was settled by Celtic groups in ancient times. Later German colonists known as Holzhackers arrived under the invitation of Empress Maria Theresa.
Local communities maintain hiking paths to Geldek summit, reflecting Slovak traditions of outdoor recreation and mountain exploration within the Small Carpathians.
The hiking trails to this peak begin from the village of Casna. A permanent flag marking the summit is visible from many approach routes.
This peak forms a natural pair with its neighboring summit Jelenec, both sharing an unusual karst landscape. The two tops are connected by a ridge that creates a distinctive formation.
