Chata Plesnivec, Mountain hut in District of Poprad, Slovakia.
Edelweis Hütte is a mountain hut located in the Belianske Tatras at about 1235 meters elevation. It sits at the end of the Valley of Seven Springs on the south-eastern slope of Bujaci hill and accommodates around 20 guests.
The hut was originally established as a shelter for mountain travelers and has served this purpose for many decades. A major renovation took place in 1997 when a complete wing was added to expand its capacity.
The hut remains the single inhabited refuge across the Belianske Tatras region, representing the eastern portion of the High Tatra Mountains.
The hut is open year-round for hikers using the mountain trails in the region. Visitors should be prepared for changing weather conditions and bring suitable gear for mountain walking.
From its position on the northern side of the Schneeberg mountain massif, the hut presents direct views toward Neusiedler See during clear weather conditions.
