Areál hier Radosť
Areál hier Radosť is an amusement park for children and families located near Štrkovecké lake in the Štrkovec neighborhood of Bratislava, between Bajkalská street and the lakeshore. It features the largest children's playground in the city, along with a beach volleyball court, an amphitheater, and a winter ice rink.
Since 2004, the park has been managed by the Ružinov sports club, which keeps it running and organizes summer activities for children. Over the years, facilities like the ice rink and the amphitheater were added to broaden what the park offers to families throughout the seasons.
A large carved concrete sea creature made by artist Rastislav Miklánek stands at the center of the playground and serves as the park's symbol. Children gather around it to play, making it the natural focal point of the whole space.
The park sits close to Štrkovecké lake and is easy to reach on foot or by bus, with paved paths throughout that work well for strollers and older visitors. In warmer months, toilets are open on site and the sports courts can be reserved for group use.
Every July and August, the park runs summer camps for children from local kindergartens and primary schools, with games, sports, and outdoor activities filling the days. The amphitheater and the volleyball court can also be rented for private events, which makes the space a gathering point for the whole neighborhood.
