Kabin Buri

Kabin Buri is an administrative district in southeastern Prachin Buri Province composed of fourteen sub-districts and 193 villages. The area spans a large territory at low elevation and contains three town administrations that provide basic services to residents.

The district originated during the Ayutthaya period as an established city but underwent administrative changes in later centuries. Its governance shifted in 1906 and underwent a major merger in 1926 that shaped its current form.

The fourteen sub-districts maintain their own community traditions visible in local gatherings and everyday practices throughout the year. These customs shape how people live together and connect them to their roots.

The area is crossed by several major waterways that shape the landscape and help with orientation. Visitors should note that the flat terrain can be prone to flooding during rainy periods.

The district sits at the intersection of three major river systems that have watered the region for centuries. These waterways have long been essential for farming and transport and continue to shape local geography.
