Sakarya Atatürk Stadium, Football stadium in Adapazarı, Turkey
Sakarya Atatürk Stadium is a modern football venue in Adapazarı with a capacity of roughly 28,000 seats and an elliptical design featuring a rectangular main stand. The building positions spectators just 7 meters from the playing field and includes an underground level with parking spaces.
Construction of this modern sports facility began in April 2013 and was completed in September 2017, replacing an older stadium from 1980. The completion marked a renewal of the city's sports infrastructure.
The roof features white, green, and blue PVC mesh panels that reflect the traditional colors of the local football club Sakaryaspor. These colors are immediately recognizable to fans and shape how visitors experience the venue.
The stadium is easy to access and offers ample parking in the underground level for visitors arriving by car. The close proximity of the seating areas to the playing field ensures excellent views of all match action.
The roof is supported by a steel framework using lightweight steel webs and girders spanning roughly 70 meters. This engineering solution allows the vast canopy to exist with minimal visible weight.
