Polatlı

Polatlı is the district capital of Ankara Province, positioned on the Anatolian Plateau. The town sits at an elevation of around 850 meters and spreads across a sizeable territory with relatively flat terrain.

The ancient Phrygian capital of Gordion, located roughly 10 kilometers away, served as a major center from the Bronze Age onward under multiple civilizations. This early history shaped the region's importance as a significant settlement zone in Anatolia.
