Holy Trinity Church, Sivrihisar

Holy Trinity Church is an Armenian place of worship built with a rectangular layout that includes three internal aisles and twin bell towers standing on either side of the main doorway. The basilica structure has multiple levels and recessed areas creating distinct zones within the interior.

The structure was first built in 1650 and suffered major fire damage in 1876, after which architect Mintes Panoyat oversaw its reconstruction in 1881. That restoration preserved its core design and returned it to active use.

This building was the spiritual center for the Armenian community living in the Hoshnudiye neighborhood, shaping their religious and daily practices for generations. The interior spaces reveal how deeply rooted it was in local communal life.

The building is located in Sivrihisar within Eskişehir Province and reopened in 2015 following comprehensive restoration work. Visitors should note that the interior contains multiple levels and narrow passages that require slow, careful exploration.

The building contains a dedicated baptism chamber in its northeastern corner, specifically designed for performing baptismal rites. Attached rooms served as living quarters for clergy members, revealing how closely the priesthood lived within the heart of the congregation.
