Lutheran Church, Lutsk

The Lutheran Church is a Gothic Revival structure in Lutsk with a tall spire crowned by a golden cross and pale yellow facade walls. The building features high lancet windows throughout that emphasize its vertical design.

The building was erected in 1907 for the German Lutheran community in Volyn. Following decades of different use, it was repurposed during the Soviet period from 1950 to 1980 as an archive.

The interior once showcased decorated altar windows with biblical scenes that reflected the faith of those who worshiped here. These artistic elements shaped how visitors understood the spiritual purpose of the space.

The building sits on Karaimska Street within the State Historical Reserve of Old Lutsk and is straightforward to locate. Currently it functions as a House of Gospel for Baptist services, so visitors should approach respectfully.

At its opening, the church was equipped with an organ featuring 16 registers from the Austrian firm Gebrüder Rieger. A large bell cast in Bochum, Germany was also installed, adding to the building's acoustic character.
