Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of Sloboda Ukraine

The Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of Sloboda Ukraine holds approximately 330,000 objects that document the northeastern region's past. The collection combines archaeological discoveries with everyday items and crafts spanning different historical periods.

The collection's roots reach back to 1807, drawing from archaeological sites at Olvia and the Voronezh region. The institution was formally established in 1919 as part of Karazin University, consolidating important holdings from earlier periods.

The exhibitions showcase Bronze Age objects and Scythian artifacts that reveal how people lived in this region centuries ago. Traditional items on display show the daily practices and crafts that shaped the community's way of life.

The museum is located at Freedom Square in an easy-to-find building and offers guided tours for visitors regularly. Researchers can access the research facilities and get more information during a visit.

The museum holds a remarkable collection of coins and medals totaling around 40,000 pieces, representing one of the country's largest monetary artifact assemblages. This numismatic ensemble reveals trade routes and economic connections across different periods.
