Fairview Park, Administrative division in Cleveland metropolitan area, United States.

Fairview Park is a city in the Cleveland metropolitan area, covering roughly 5 square miles and bordered by North Olmsted, Rocky River, and the Rocky River Reservation. The community combines residential neighborhoods, shopping areas, and public facilities in an established layout.

The area was originally part of Rockport Township before becoming Fairview Village in 1910. It advanced to village status as Fairview Park in 1948 and later incorporated as a city in 1951.

The place reflects the heritage of German and Irish settlers who shaped its neighborhoods and local institutions over time. The public library on Lorain Road and the schools show how the community has maintained its identity across generations.

The city connects to downtown Cleveland through established transportation routes and maintains accessible public facilities throughout. Visitors can easily navigate the area thanks to well-maintained streets and clear orientation at central locations.

The land was purchased in 1807 for an unusually small sum, around 27 dollars, and later transformed from dense forest into a structured suburban community. This early acquisition shaped the foundation for what the area became over more than a century.
