Dunellen, Borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, US

Dunellen is a borough in Middlesex County with residential neighborhoods, parks, and a business district centered around the train station. The community occupies a compact area with various residential zones and local amenities.

The borough was established by the New Jersey Legislature in 1887 after separating from Piscataway Township through a local referendum. This founding marked the beginning of its development as an independent municipality.

The population of 7,575 residents includes substantial communities of Hispanic, White, Asian, and Black residents, creating a multicultural environment in central New Jersey.

The train station offers regular service on the Raritan Valley Line with connections to major employment centers in the region. Visitors can explore the borough easily using public transportation and access surrounding areas without difficulty.

A printing factory called Art Color produced numerous national magazines at this location from 1925 to 1968. This industrial past shaped the economic development of the community during the 1900s.
