Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Bridge in Maryland, USA
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge is a major dual-span bridge in the U.S. state of Maryland.
Opened in 1952, it was at that time the world's longest continuous over-water steel structure.
The bridge is part of the annual 'Across the Bay 10k' running event.
It connects Maryland's rural Eastern Shore region with the urban Western Shore.
The bridge is often considered one of the scariest bridges to drive due to its height and vulnerability to high winds.
