East Midwood Jewish Center, Conservative synagogue in Midwood, Brooklyn, US

The East Midwood Jewish Center building features Renaissance Revival architecture and spans multiple floors with an auditorium, classrooms, gymnasium, and swimming pool.

The synagogue building was completed in 1929 at a cost of one million dollars during a period when the Flatbush area consisted of single-family homes.

The center maintains traditional Conservative Jewish practices while welcoming individuals from various backgrounds, including interfaith families and LGBTQ members to their services.

The synagogue structure accommodates 800 people and provides educational programs for children and adults through its Room J program within the Congregation.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg contributed essays to the congregation's bulletin during her early years as a member of this community.
