Klose-Hof

Klose-Hof is a five-story municipal housing complex in Oberdöbling featuring red three-winged windows and floral decorative elements across its facade. The building encloses a central courtyard and originally contained 143 apartments for workers seeking affordable housing.

Architect Josef Hoffmann designed this housing project between 1924 and 1925 to address Vienna's worker housing shortage during the post-war period. The building later received its name in 1949 to honor Viktor Klose, an important figure in Austrian history.
