Oberzalimhütte is a mountain hut located at 1889 meters elevation in the Zalimtal valley of the Bludenz Alps. The facility provides sleeping accommodations across guest rooms and dormitories with a wide sun terrace overlooking the surrounding slopes.
The hut underwent major reconstruction in 2007 and earned environmental certification in 2009 for sustainable Alpine management practices. This recognition reflected its commitment to ecological standards in a mountain setting.
The hut functions as an essential stopover point for mountaineers traversing between Brand and the Mannheimer Hütte, maintaining Alpine hiking traditions.
The hut operates seasonally from June through October with sleeping capacity for around 42 guests in mixed dormitory-style arrangements. Only cash payment is accepted for all services and accommodations.
From the hut, hikers can access several mountain trails, including one leading to Schesaplana at 2965 meters, the highest peak in the Rätikon range. The route demands alpine experience and rewards climbers with some of the region's most dramatic views.
