The Azerbaijan State Theatre of Musical Comedy is a theatre in central Baku with 343 seats. It presents musicals, comedies, and operettas throughout the year.
The theatre was founded in 1934 following the success of Uzeyir Hajibeyov's musical comedies, which began in 1910 at a circus building with 'Husband and Wife'. This marked an important moment in the development of this art form in Azerbaijan.
