Amiakhum Waterfall

Amiakhum is a waterfall in the hills of Thanchi that drops over rocky steps and creates multiple cascades through dense forests. The water flows through narrow gorges and forms different pools where it collects before flowing further downstream.

The waterfall took shape over centuries as mountain streams carved pathways through the rock layers of the hills. This gradual erosion formed the cascades and pools that visitors see today.

The journey to reach this waterfall includes a boat ride on the Sangu River followed by trekking through several remote villages that few travelers ever visit. This route makes the trip itself as memorable as the destination.
