Church of Our Lady, Gothic church in Kortrijk, Belgium.
The Church of Our Lady features two stone towers at its western facade, along with a central nave, transept and an ornate Baroque interior decoration.
Construction began in 1199 under Count Baldwin IX, with the original Gothic structure surviving through the nave, transept, and western facade of today's church.
The church holds Anthony Van Dyck's painting 'Erection of the Cross' and displays replicas of golden spurs from French knights defeated in the 1302 battle.
Located at Deken Zegerplein 3, the church offers guided tours that explain the architectural elements and the historical significance of the Counts' Chapel.
The Counts' Chapel contains medieval wall paintings depicting rulers of Flanders, with stained glass windows illustrating scenes from the Battle of Golden Spurs.
