Второ основно училище „Петко Рачов Славейков“

The Petko Rachov Slaveykov Second Elementary School is a three-story public school located on General Stoletov Street in Stara Zagora that serves students in grades one through eight. The building contains classrooms, educational spaces, and a library within its walls.

The school was established in 1957 and expanded in 1965 when a new wing with nine additional classrooms was added to serve more students. This growth reflected the institution's increasing importance in the local education system.

Students participate in theatrical productions through the Vezni Drama School and perform with the Slavejcheta Vocal Ensemble, representing Bulgarian artistic traditions.

The institution serves students in grades one through eight and follows the Bulgarian national curriculum with added emphasis on computer science and sports. As an active school building, visitor access may be limited to scheduled times or special events.

The building gained recognition as an architectural monument in 1989 and houses a library with origins dating back to 1915. This early library was among the first of its kind in the city and demonstrates the school's long commitment to education.
