The bronze medallion on the east side, showing the seal of the Bulgarian Central Revolutionary Committee, was stolen in 2009 and restored on 15 February 2010 from a photograph. The original was bronze; the replacement is brass, made by the monument's own sculptor, Lyubomir Petrov.
