Sierra de Andújar Natural Park, Protected natural area in Sierra Morena mountains, Spain.
The Sierra de Andújar Natural Park covers 74,774 hectares of Mediterranean forest with holm oaks, cork oaks, and gall oaks across four municipalities.
The park received official protected status in 1989, preserving ancient Mediterranean forests and establishing a vital conservation area in northwestern Jaén province.
The Sanctuary of Virgen de la Cabeza, located on Cabezo Hill within the park, attracts 500,000 pilgrims during its annual April celebration.
Visitors can access the park through the A4 Cordoba-Jaen road and obtain information at the Centro de Visitantes Las Viñas de Peñallana.
The park maintains the largest population of Iberian lynx and serves as the southernmost habitat for wolves in the Iberian Peninsula.
