Sant Adrià de Besòs

Sant Adrià de Besòs sits on both sides of the Besòs River estuary, merging directly into the urban fabric that connects Barcelona, Badalona, and Santa Coloma de Gramenet. The municipality spans flat terrain along this river corridor and forms part of the continuous metropolitan area near Barcelona's coast.

This place was founded in 1012 when a parish church was established, followed shortly by an Augustinian priory. The priory housed Saint Olegarius, who later became Bishop of Barcelona.
