The palace spans over 58,000 square meters and contains multiple buildings, including dedicated spaces for ministerial meetings and press conferences.

The original agricultural estate transformed into a palace in 1660 under Gaspar de Haro y Guzmán before architect Diego Méndez rebuilt it between 1949 and 1953.

The Council Building displays art collections from the Reina Sofía Museum and serves as a meeting place for Spanish government ministers.

Visitors can access the palace through Ciudad Universitaria Metro station on Line 6 or by taking bus routes 83, 133, and 162.

The Seeds Building, constructed in 1950, now functions as the personal cabinet of the Prime Minister within the governmental complex.
