Assut de l'Or Bridge, Cable-stayed bridge in City of Arts and Sciences, Spain

The Assut de l'Or Bridge features a white pylon reaching 125 meters high with 29 parallel cables supporting the structure across 180 meters.

Santiago Calatrava designed this bridge completed in 2008 at a cost of 59.9 million euros, connecting different sections of the City of Arts and Sciences.

The structure received multiple local names including El Perniler and Pont de l'Arpa, reflecting its visual resemblance to a ham holder and harp.

The bridge accommodates six vehicle lanes, two tram tracks, plus separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists crossing over the former Túria riverbed.

The backward-curved pylon contains concrete counterweights embedded in the roadway to maintain structural balance while supporting the cable system.
