El Capricho Park, Historic garden in Alameda de Osuna, Madrid, Spain
The 14-hectare park combines three garden styles: French geometric paths, Italian fountains, and English natural landscapes spread across the grounds.
The Duchess of Osuna established this garden in 1784 as a retreat, adding architectural elements until 1830, including Spain's first iron bridge.
The Temple of Bacchus stands on twelve Ionic columns, providing panoramic views of the gardens and representing neoclassical architecture.
The park opens exclusively on weekends and allows access through metro line 5, El Capricho station.
A Spanish Civil War bunker, position Jaca, remains intact within the park and demonstrates its former military function.
