Canelas, White sand beach in Adina, Sanxenxo, Spain
Canelas is a 400-meter-long beach with fine white sand along the northern shore of Ría de Pontevedra. The slope into the water is gentle and gradual, making it easy to enter from the sand.
The beach formed naturally over thousands of years as the Atlantic Ocean shaped the flooded river valley of Ría de Pontevedra. Local settlement grew gradually as the area became valued for its natural advantages.

The beach has showers, restrooms, and parking available for about 100 vehicles. Parasols and beach equipment can be rented on-site, and the area tends to fill up during peak season.
The water here is one of the warmest spots in Ría de Pontevedra and can reach 18 degrees Celsius in August. These higher temperatures make this location a preferred choice for swimmers during the summer months.
