Located on Tossal de Manises hill, the archaeological complex spans across 5 hectares of land, with 2.5 hectares containing ancient Roman structures and fortifications.
The ancient settlement evolved from an Iberian settlement into a Roman municipium during the 1st century BC, becoming a central trading point along the Mediterranean coast.
The excavated structures reveal detailed insights into Roman urban planning, including public baths, a forum, residential buildings, and defensive walls from the classical period.
The site opens Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in summer, with general admission at 3 euros.
The archaeological remains feature an intact 600-meter defensive wall system that enclosed the original Roman settlement, preserving the complete urban layout.
