Àguiles Tower

Àguiles Tower is a three-level fortification with a distinctive turret, standing on a spacious plot near the beach. The structure displays the typical architecture of Mediterranean defensive buildings with views of the surrounding landscape.

The structure was built between the 16th and 17th centuries as part of a coastal defense network. It belonged to a larger system of fortifications that protected the region during a period of significant maritime threats.

The tower's name comes from the eagles that once nested in this area and held significance in local memory. Visitors can still sense the connection between the fortification and the natural surroundings that define the landscape.

The tower is situated between two streets and easily accessible from the surrounding area, with parking and local shops nearby. A daytime visit is best to fully appreciate the architectural details and the surrounding views.
