Cala dels Cantalars

Cala dels Cantalars is a small cove on the coast of Cabo de la Huerta near Alicante, stretching about 100 meters long and 6 meters wide. The beach is defined by rocks and gravel that slope gently into the Mediterranean, where the water appears clear and inviting.

The cove is part of the natural coastline of Cabo de la Huerta, used for centuries by fishermen and sailors. In recent times, pathways have been improved to make the area more accessible while respecting the wild character of its rocky shore.

The cove's name refers to singers or musicians who once gathered here. You will see locals using the small bay for swimming on warm days, drawn to its sheltered and quiet setting.

The beach has no changing rooms, showers, or beach bars, so bring everything you need for swimming and sun protection. A parking area is located about 400 meters away on Avenida Costa Blanca, with a short walk down to the water.

Beneath the water's surface grow meadows of Neptune grass, home to countless marine creatures and a sign of a healthy sea ecosystem. This plant is protected by Spanish authorities and helps keep the cove an important refuge for ocean life.
