The Church of Santa María features a single nave with Gothic ribbed vaults supported by pillars decorated with Renaissance relief sculptures and semi-columns.
Originally constructed in the 16th century on the location of a Muslim mosque, the church underwent significant restoration in 1948 following damages during the Spanish Civil War.
The religious services at the Church of Santa María maintain centuries-old Catholic traditions while serving as the central parish church for the local community.
Visitors can access the church Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 18:00 to 20:30, with modified hours on Sundays and religious holidays.
The bell tower stands partially separated from the main structure, containing the Campanica de la Virgen bell transferred from the former Torre del Orejón.
