Teatro Municipal Miguel de Cervantes, Opera theatre in Málaga, Spain
The Teatro Cervantes features neoclassical architecture with detailed ornamentation, red velvet seating, and three levels of balconies within its main auditorium.
The theatre, designed by architect Gerónimo Cuervo González, opened its doors in 1870 and received official heritage protection status for its cultural importance.
Teatro Cervantes presents regular opera performances, ballet shows, and orchestral concerts throughout its annual season from September to June.
The theatre maintains a box office open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 20:30, offering tickets for all scheduled performances.
The stage structure incorporates original 19th-century mechanical systems that remain functional for creating special effects during performances.
