Hotel de la Reconquista is a Baroque building near Parque San Francisco featuring two interior courtyards and an octagonal chapel designed by architect Ventura Rodríguez. The structure contains 142 outward-facing rooms including four suites, with parking facilities and guest amenities throughout.
Built in 1752 as a provincial hospice, the structure operated as a hospital until 1965 when it transitioned to hotel use in 1974. This transformation allowed the Baroque structure to preserve its original architecture while serving new purposes.
The building displays works by local Asturian artists throughout its interior spaces, including paintings, tapestries, and period furniture that reflect regional artistic traditions. These pieces shape the character of the halls and rooms visitors pass through.
