The facade of Casas del Cuitu displays large columns, sculptures, and ornamental details that extend from the main entrance to the Independencia Street side.
Built between 1913 and 1917 by José Santullano, known as El Cuitu, this structure represented the emergence of collective housing in early 20th century Oviedo.
The building combines Art Nouveau and Baroque Revival architectural styles, featuring mythological motifs in its decorative elements and elaborate balcony designs.
Each residential unit within Casas del Cuitu spans approximately 250 square meters, providing substantial living spaces in the center of Oviedo.
The building stood vacant for over a decade after 2012 when its original developer went bankrupt, leading to its acquisition by Grupo Masaveu.
