Esclusas y molino de Casablanca, Historical watermill and lock system in Casablanca, Zaragoza, Spain
The complex contains limestone sluices with elliptical chambers and a mill building with six grinding stones along the Imperial Canal of Aragon.
The facilities opened in October 1784 under Ramón Pignatelli's supervision, marking a significant advancement in regional water infrastructure development.
The site witnessed the signing of Zaragoza's capitulation during the Spanish Independence War on February 20, 1809.
The complex now functions as a small hydroelectric power station while maintaining its historical structures for public viewing.
The former mill building houses the HYDRO-logical Space, an educational center focused on water management principles and practices.
