The architectural complex consists of 74 buildings arranged in a triangular pattern, housing 1,585 apartments with pale yellow facades.
Between 1927 and 1930, architect Fernando de Escondrillas designed this housing development for workers of the nearby municipal slaughterhouse.
The buildings represent early social housing in Madrid, featuring innovative concrete construction methods and apartment designs with exterior windows.
Each apartment measures under 50 square meters and contains three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a kitchen with natural light.
The buildings incorporate curved silhouettes due to the triangular plot layout, which later allowed the installation of elevators.
