The quadrangular building features a central courtyard with two upper stories, containing 24 spaces arranged around a harmonious cloister system.
Archbishop Alonso III de Fonseca established the college in 1522 and commissioned architect Juan de Álava to design this educational institution.
The main facade displays sculptures of Santiago Alfeo, Virgin of Pleasures, Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Santa Catalina, and San Ildefonso.
Visitors can explore the college, its library, and gift shop from Tuesday through Saturday between 17:00 and 20:30.
The cloister features numerous medallions with figurative reliefs that communicate messages about institutional hierarchy and lineage.
