The pentagon-shaped palace features a neoclassical stone façade with three sections, two floors, and triumphal arches adorned with Minerva relief decorations.
Built between 1879 and 1894, this palace served as headquarters for the General Captaincy of Aragon until the 1980s when operations moved to Barcelona.
The Court Reception Hall contains elaborate decorations from floor to ceiling, displaying the architectural preferences of late 19th century Spanish military buildings.
The palace remains military property, housing offices and high-ranking officer residences while occasionally opening spaces for public exhibitions.
The main staircase features a bronze statue of General Palafox, created by sculptor Dionisio Lasuén in 1891.
