Palacio del rei Marti, Gothic palace within Poblet Monastery, Vimbodí i Poblet, Spain
The palace features five Gothic windows, each with a different design, and contains upper floors decorated with sculptured corbels depicting angels and dragons.
Construction of the palace began in 1397 under King Martin I of Aragon, with architect Arnau Bargués directing the project until its halt in 1406.
The royal hall displays wooden ceilings supported by large arches and contains medieval architectural elements representative of Catalan Gothic civil architecture.
The palace entrance leads through a courtyard near the oil press area, with stairs providing access to the upper levels where exhibitions are displayed.
The rear facade maintains its original medieval mensules and central window, which remained intact through the Napoleonic Wars of the early nineteenth century.
