Caldoveiro Peak, Mountain summit in Yernes y Tameza, Spain
The Caldoveiro Peak rises to 1,354 meters in elevation and extends across 11,359 hectares through Proaza, Yernes y Tameza, Grado, and Teverga municipalities.
The mountain region around Caldoveiro Peak contains evidence of continuous human presence, with agricultural activities and resource extraction dating back through centuries.
The mountain preserves traditional Asturian pastoral practices, including the use of stone huts called corros for seasonal livestock management in high pastures.
Visitors can start their ascent from the village of Villabre, following marked trails that lead through different ecological zones to reach the summit.
The peak contains deposits of Fluorite, Calcite, and Quartz minerals, while maintaining a natural isolation of 1.7 kilometers from its nearest higher neighbor.
