The Casa consistorial features Gothic Revival and Art Nouveau architectural elements with a grand stone staircase adorned with stained-glass details throughout the structure.
Construction began in 1900 under architect Lluís Muncunill i Parellada, transforming several private residences into an integrated municipal complex that opened during July 1903.
The building received recognition as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest, representing the evolution of municipal architecture and Modernisme català movement in Catalonia.
The municipal offices occupy multiple levels connected by staircases, with the main meeting room featuring Montjuich stone facades and plaster coffered ceilings.
The structure combines materials including brick, hydraulic mortar, and red pine wood, with flooring made from hard stone sourced from Montjuich and Sant Vicenç de Castellet.
