Casa consistorial de Terrassa, City hall building in Terrassa, Spain

The city hall building combines Gothic Revival and Art Nouveau styles with visible brick walls and stone staircases. Inside, multiple levels contain rooms with plaster ceilings and ceramic details throughout.

Construction started in 1900 under architect Lluís Muncunill i Parellada, combining several private residences into a municipal complex. The completed building opened in 1903.

The building displays Catalan Modernisme through its crafted details visible throughout the rooms. The public spaces reflect how the city wanted to represent its government at that time.

The building is easy to find and located in the city center. Visitors can view public areas and some rooms during daytime hours, though it remains an active administrative building.

The building uses hand-crafted materials like red pine wood frames and hydraulic mortar, which were not yet industrial standards at that time. These natural materials give the place a handmade character rarely found in modern buildings.
