Farmàcia Albinyana

Farmacia Albinyana is a three-story building adorned with ceramic tiles and shells filled with trencadis mosaics, topped with staggered battlements decorated in glazed ceramics. The structure combines commercial pharmacy space with residential areas and features elaborate interior decoration throughout.

Architect Joaquim Vancells i Vieta designed this modernist building in 1908. It originally housed a confectionery run by widow Carné before being converted into a pharmacy in 1934.

The facade displays intricate wrought ironwork and glazed ceramics that reflect the skilled craftsmanship of early 20th century Catalan artisans. These decorative elements remain visible today and speak to the artistic traditions of the period.

The building is located at Raval de Montserrat 48 and continues to operate as a working pharmacy while maintaining its original architectural features. Visitors can view the historic details from the street and appreciate the craftsmanship of the Art Nouveau style.
