El Saler, Coastal village near Albufera Natural Park in Valencia, Spain.

El Saler is a coastal village on the Mediterranean near Valencia that stretches between the beach and the Albufera Natural Park. The land is flat and low-lying, with sand dunes, wide beaches, and wetland areas that form the natural setting.

The settlement grew from the traditional ways of fishers and farmers who have shaped the region for generations. This form of village settlement is characteristic of Valencian coastal areas and their economic past.

The village retains a rural character, with fishers and farmers shaping daily life through their work on boats and in fields. This connection to the land and sea remains visible in how people move through and use the settlement.

The village is reachable by bus from Valencia and offers year-round access to the beach and the natural park. Keep in mind that the flat, open landscape offers little shade, so sun and wind protection are important when visiting.

Two very different habitats meet here: the open beach and the wetlands of the Albufera with its abundance of bird species. This proximity makes it possible to experience both environments in a single location.
