Church of the Santísima Trinidade, Ourense

The Church of the Santísima Trinidade is a Gothic church in central Ourense featuring two cylindrical towers on its main facade and decorated stone archways. The interior follows a basilica layout with several entrances, the principal one marked by triple pointed arches resting on ornamental pillars.

The church was built between the 12th and 16th centuries next to a pilgrim hospital near thermal springs that drew travelers. This extended construction period reflects how pilgrimage routes shaped this location into an important religious gathering place.

The interior contains religious sculptures and a 16th-century altarpiece that drew worshippers for generations seeking spiritual connection. These artworks remain central to how visitors experience the sacred space today.
